Gender-based violence is never acceptable, and support is available. This page provides information about the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence 2025 as well as the support services, reporting options, and resources available to students living at Dunmore Lang College.
Our priority is to ensure all students feel safe, supported, and informed about where to seek help. Whether you are looking for support for yourself, supporting someone else, or simply want to learn more.
What is the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence 2025?
The National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence sets clear expectations for universities and student accommodation to help keep students safe. It requires providers to prevent gender-based violence, respond appropriately when it occurs, and ensure students have access to safe, supportive, and person-centred support and reporting options, including within student accommodation.
You can access the Code here.Â
Please use the following link to view Dunmore Lang College’s Whole-of-Organisation Prevention and Response Plan to the code and accompanying appendices A-G.  The College is committed to all aspects of the Code and will continue to enhance and review our Plan regularly.
How can I report an incident of Gender-Based Violence?
You can report an incident of gender-based violence in the way that feels safest for you.
You can book a confidential appointment with Emily (Dean of Students) to speak in person and discuss support or next steps.
If you prefer to remain anonymous, you can make a report through our online reporting platform, RespectX.
Both options are available whether you are seeking support for yourself or raising a concern about someone else.Â
