24/7 wellbeing staff including onsite senior staff, and peer support leaders who are available to talk and help as needed

Is College suitable if this is my first time living away from home?

Moving away from home for the first time is a big step. At Dunmore Lang College, you won’t be doing it on your own. There’s always someone around, whether it’s staff, RAs or other students, and the community is genuinely welcoming. With things like meals, support and study help all taken care of, it’s easier to settle in, find your feet and start feeling at home pretty quickly.

Is the College safe?

Safety as a core part of our student life, both physical safety and overall wellbeing.
At Dunmore Lang College there is:

  • A secure college campus with gates and swipe system
  • Locked bathrooms only accessible by swipes
  • 24/7 onsite support, including senior staff who live at the college
  • Resident Advisers (RAs) on every floor, trained to support students
  • Overnight supervision by a Community Supervisor so there is always someone awake and available
  • Mandatory training programmes focused on consent, respect and safety
  • A strong peer support culture where students look out for each other
  • Clear reporting pathways if a concern needs to be raised. Including anonymous reporting
